What do I need for my first appointment?
- You must have your insurance card and a referral if your insurance plan uses the referral process
- Always come prepared to pay your co-payment
- Bring any recent blood work, including PSA results as well as any CT, MRI, and other medical testing done within the last 6-12 months
- Bring a list of all prescriptions and over-the counter medications you are currently taking
- Arrive with a full bladder, as a urine specimen will most likely be needed
- Bring a list of questions written down to help you remember what questions to ask the physician
How long is my first appointment expected to take?
Your initial consultation may take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the nature of your urologic concern. There is always a chance that your doctor may have been called over to the hospital for an emergency. If this happens and we see that you may have an extended wait, we will offer you the option to wait or reschedule.
Do you have forms available online to help speed up my registration process?
